Hey all. Seriously considering buying my brothers 93 RX-7. Has 5k on new engine, 17k on new tranny, and 107k on chassis. Turbo needs to be rebuilt, Needs to be tuned for a/f ratios etc, and a new oil pressure sender. Other than that, she's good to go. Good for bout 420rwhp w/bout 14-15psi right now. Kinda scary..lol. In addition to the below, I get lots of extras...Extra set of seats, carbon fiber hood, spare parts galore, etc, etc, etc. What do you guys think? Kind of heavily modded for my tastes. I know I'll need to expect this becoming a constant money pit. But, hey, you pay for what you get...lol

Here's what it's got :

Race port 13B-REW, stock 2mm (It has about 5000 miles on it, no/very-little boost.)
T-78 kit, ceramic coated headers/downpipe, with an HKS filter (the only filter that will fit with his radiator), with blowoff valve)
Midpipe
GReddy Power Extreme catback
Koyo radiator
GReddy 3 row front mount intercooler
deleted airpump
deleted EGR
deleted AST
Apex'i PowerFC with FC Commander and FC DataLogIt
GReddy Profec-B boost controller
J&S Knock Sensor Computer
Crooked Willow Dual Oil Coolers with braided stainless lines
MFD Digital 6 on the leading ignition, pumping two MFD Blaster2 coils
MFD DIS-4 on the trailing ignition, pumping two MFD Blaster2 coils
CWest headlight kit
4.33 KAAZ differential gears
GReddy fuel pressure, exhaust gas temperature, and boost guages
Rotary Performance fuel pump
Bonez drilled rotors/Bonez pads/Bonez stainless brake lines
performance clutch with a braided stainless clutch line
1300cc secondary fuel injectors (bored out 850's)
Rising rate fuel pressure regulator
Momo steering wheel
Potenza S03 Pole Position tires with about 2500 miles

In Texas, I might be worried about the front mount intercooler, but that's more a subjective opinion on my part. Other than that it sounds pretty good. The price is the real catch, but I assume your brother is giving you a good deal...

you will not find a better person to buy from than your own brother: if you're concerned about reliability, you can always modify the car "backwards" down to 300rwhp or something with a new smaller turbo, new smaller secondaries, and that retune you were talking about (i just hope you're not gonna jump onto the 10:1 thing...)... very good deal, if i could afford it i'd get it in a heartbeat.

Why is there not a single suspension mod listed?

Only thing I would suggest is if you are going to be driving it alot during night time, Id probably find a diffrent set of headlights or upgrading the fog lights in the C-West headlights. They are just absolutly horrible at lighting up the road, but it does make you learn quickly to see in the dark :) .

Suspension still stock. My frst project after the already mentioned stuff is replacing bushings w/some new polyurethane, and proabably some adjustable koni's....And I've heard that bout the headlights. Even my brother says they suck. Look nice, but he said stock worked better at lighting up the road.

I'll take the car if you don't want it... If i were you, I'd definitely get it.

Lol. Sorry. Not for sale to public. He wants to keep it in the family. Even going so far as to say if I buy it and ever get tired of it, I can only sell it back to him..lol. If I don't buy it, he wants to gut the engine and do a V8 conversion...aghhh!!! Blasphamy...lol

Buy the 7. Practicality be damned. That is my personal mantra anyway.

Tell him if he even attempted it, you'd slit his throat the night before he got to pull the 13B out.
