Does anyone happen to know the price of the polished aluminum or chrome wheels that you can order from Mazda? I did not think you could order these any longer but, I did see them at a dealership and I was wondering if it was overpriced. They had it listed at $2895. If someone can please post the invoice and MSRP on these wheels. I think they were chrome but, it may have just been polished aluminum. To me...$750 dollars a wheel seems a bit pricey for factory wheels. Thank you.
I 've been wanting chrome wheels since I bought my car a month ago. In fact, toady I asked my service department for a price quote on (a) new chromed wheels and, (b) getting my current wheels "dipped". Once I hear from them, I'll report back with prices, timelines, and etc.

getting them dipped is like 150 to 200 each
My biggest reason for going to chrome would be because I'm tired of having to clean the brake dust off my front wheels so often.
(I'm guessing that it wouldn't stick to chrome so easily, and whatever did stick wouldn't show as bad.)

One of our local dealers has the polished rims on a black GT in their showroom... looks really sharp, but they're asking $2k above MSRP handwritten on the window sticker for these wheels.
Being a smartass I asked if they let you also have the unpolished wheels that they're charging you for in the base price... or give you a discount for 'supersizing' polished to unpolished. They didn't seem to get why I thought it was rediculous to charge $38k for this car because of polished wheels and fender strakes (the strakes were listed as an additional $411 charge?!).
Needless to say, I'm still looking.... : )

I have factory chrome rims on my car. They were negotiated as part of the original sale and 4 rims cost $1395 + 3% profit plus $80 for installation.
Only one of three dealerships bidding my car was willing to do this. The other two wanted ME to purchase the rims through the parts department AFTER the sale at a considerable increase in cost (they quoted $500 per wheel plus installation).
I posted several pics on the following thread

Thanks for all the responses. It sounds like the price of $2895 above sticker is definately a rip off in my opinion. I really do appreciate your opinions and I'm glad I did not have to wait days to get a reply. Thanks and any further comments are welcome.
