I read some of the post and 1 thing comes to my mind that is, there is a tire pressor sensor or monitor? I can't find it anywhere on the dashboard.

What is the psi setting for performance and for fuel economy that you guys would recommend? And how does the stock tire fare in snow or rain condition?

Stock tires are great in the rain. DANGEROUS and entirely useless in the snow. However, with winter tires, the RX-8 goes great on snow (I've had my winter tires on for 4 weeks now, and we've had snow for over 3 weeks). If you have the stock tires and it snows - leave the RX-8 parked until the snow/ice is gone. Seriously, you'll only bend it if you try to drive in snow on the stock tires.

Yes, the RX-8 has a tire pressure monitoring system. It's an idiot light, it lights up when any of the tires is outside (above or below) the prescribed pressure range. It doesn't tell you which one, that's so you check the pressure in all of them when necessary.

it's outlined in your owners Manual and listed on the window sticker.......

It's right on the dash as a yellow flattened tire symbol idiot light. You can see it in the pre-start diagnostic light up.

I'm told that the Canadian version of the car does not have the pressure monitor. Confirmed this when putting on new rims and snow tires yesterday. Possibley some American and other international versions do not also.

The TPMS is a Standard feature on all US-spec RX-8's. I don't know about other countries.

So it's just a light. I was expecting a little more, like a display of psi. Regardless, I am not sure if it's working, maybe I should flat 1 of the tire out? Anyway, yesterday I pumped the tires to 35psi (the measurement is from the air pump, not sure how accurate that can be) and nothing is said or noted. Possibly my tire pressure monitor is not working, or not there? After all, my car is one of the first batch.

The US spec car has had it from the start, so you've probably got it. Does the idiot light (left gauge pod, yellow, 3/4 "tire" icon, toward the center) come on when you start the car, then go off? If so, the system has passed it's "pre flight" inspection. If it comes on and stays on, there is a problem either with the system or with a tire being low.

Yes

35 psi is not enough over to trip the light. i believe the over limit is 43 psi
