SayNoToPistons 07-30-2008, 11:45 PM Nice pink shoes. thebiggdaddy 07-30-2008, 11:50 PM It was a pain in the ass right? 05rex8 07-30-2008, 11:50 PM SayNoToPistons: Nice pink shoes AND pink short shorts! btw....whats with the alignment of your front bumper by the left sidemarker? Looks like it's popped out. --Jonathan S1lveRx8 07-31-2008, 12:22 AM Looks nice. Some spots still look dirty to me for some reason..Maybe just rock chips?? I wanna take the time to clay bar my car soon, how long did it take you? greg985 07-31-2008, 12:28 AM Looks great, I wish I had 2 tone interior:rant: jones75254 07-31-2008, 08:17 AM Beautiful color. Nice job. Get some clear corners:) I see ur rockin the red Crocs. Stylin n profilin jigga jigga SideOfBacon 07-31-2008, 08:18 AM thats what ill be doing this weekend rio_rx8 07-31-2008, 08:55 AM nice job...but what happened to your bumper? ouch! DeViLbOi 07-31-2008, 08:55 AM This is probably a dumb question but...have you tried taking the bumper off and fixing the alignment? Looks like you did a good job on the detailing though. Now to get some of the touch up paint to fix those rock chips on the front and you will be all set. Bamablocker 07-31-2008, 10:55 AM thanks guys. k so the "pink shoes" are my Alabama crocs lol. but yea the car was sold to me like that. it was used for autocrossing. i haven't had the time to realign it yet. but with the chips, you can see where i put the touch up paint under the emblem. it doesn't look that good. i'm trying to save up for the MS front and rear bumpers. i want the wing too. but i may have my hood repainted because i don't want to go through the trouble of sanding it and repainting it. i need to get one of those small airbrush things. it took me about 6 hours from the start of cleaning the rims/tires to waxing it. bigdaddy, it was a little rough but i enjoyed it. in one of the pics you'll see a silverish Lexus, that's my mom's. i detailed hers for about 5 hours, she's selling it though. jb4wc 07-31-2008, 11:08 AM car looks good...crocs on your feet don't.... 04RX8man 07-31-2008, 11:12 AM yeah looks good how did you like that clay bar did it do a great job? I have heard good things just have not wanted to spend the money on the kit yet? 04RX8man 07-31-2008, 11:13 AM it's not pink it's salmon!!!!! hahahahahaha Bamablocker 07-31-2008, 12:50 PM lol, i never wear them except when i do anything in the water. the "shorts" are swim trunks, only ones i had that were clean. anyway, yea the clay bar is AMAZING!! i put the bottle of quick detailer on the hood before i clay barred it, and it went nowhere. but after i clayed it, i did the same thing and it fell right off! it makes it smooth as glass. def worth the 20 dollars. but that's only for the kit. you can buy clay for cheaper than that. but you NEED quick detailer. it's a lubricant for the clay. would white rims look good with nordic green? Bamablocker 07-31-2008, 12:51 PM it's not pink it's salmon!!!!! hahahahahaha lol, if you're a Red v Blue fan, "it's not pink! it's a lightish red!" NgoRX8 07-31-2008, 01:38 PM not bad for your first time. looks like your front bumper is cracked though... Bamablocker 07-31-2008, 02:28 PM it is. the girl that sold it to me autocrosses, so i think that may have been from it. like i said i'm trying to save up for the MS front and rear bumpers. mlewis412 07-31-2008, 05:09 PM As an X-detailer for about 2 years, I would say good job for not knowing much about detailing, Clay Barring is the way to go! :D ... If you want some to get almost every minor scratch out, get a buffer! (dont get the mini orbital hand held ones... spend some money on one). Your Interior could use a bit of shine! They have this stuff called Murphy's Oil Soap. You can use that to clean your seats/carpets. For certain spots that have nicks and or u just want your black molding to stand out, you can use spray details, It will be a temp cover up but dont go crazy (especially on your dash) because it usually collects more dust. I have like a million and 1 techniques for detailing your car, but I cant share all my secrets.. lol Bamablocker 07-31-2008, 06:35 PM lol. well thank you for the tips. i'll check it out. i just applied at Oreilly and Advanced Auto Parts, so if i get hired, i'm gonna take advantage of the discounts. i need a job badly. i need money. haha. Bamablocker 08-02-2008, 04:40 AM white rims? look good or no? or black with the chrome outline? fahrfegneugen 08-02-2008, 02:37 PM nice work dude. Ross_Dawg 08-02-2008, 04:52 PM white rims? look good or no? or black with the chrome outline? If you're talking about for the stockies then no. I'm not a fan at all about painting stock rims on cars. Save up your $$ for a decent pair of wheels... Bamablocker 08-08-2008, 12:52 AM oh yea, i'm def talkin about buying new wheels. looking at some Volks. need to save $$ though Fortunate Few 08-08-2008, 01:24 AM looks good. dozer 08-08-2008, 11:23 AM u missed a spot BlakOuT 08-09-2008, 07:08 PM You did a good job.
