View Full Version : Do You REV your car xsnipersgox 07-29-2008, 01:26 PM at a parking garage to see how many alarms you can set off? :ylsuper: Schimmle 07-29-2008, 01:38 PM It gets even louder once my vtec kicks in yo! xsnipersgox 07-29-2008, 01:59 PM lol, i can't resist when i start my car and i hear some car's alarm beep (aftermarket), so i'd rev it like 3 times and kick off the real alarm XD 9krpmrx8 07-29-2008, 02:02 PM The sound in a parking garage or overpass is music to my ears! toneskii707 07-31-2008, 07:35 PM I have two vtecs in my car one in the front and one in the back it sounds sick! SideOfBacon 08-01-2008, 10:45 AM http://rsxisfaster.files.wordpress.com/2007/05/scootervtec.jpg KoDeD 08-01-2008, 11:21 AM That's one of the funniest pictures I've ever seen. But on subject - I think in parking garages it is almost irrestable to rev, the setting off car alarm thing is just a secondary effect that takes place and also pleases us :P Rote8 08-04-2008, 09:32 PM My 8 is not that loud: Mazsport resonated midpipe and Rev8 exhaust. The S/C whine is too high pitched to set off alarms. Now my bike is another matter.:nono: 05rex8 08-04-2008, 10:19 PM I like to do it at walmart or even when driving past used car lots :lol2: Rote8 08-05-2008, 05:49 PM Does a subwoofer that sets off car alarms (and makes dogs howl) count? Brettus 08-05-2008, 06:41 PM I'm over 40 and I can't resist either - never grow up ..... Ryan2008 08-05-2008, 06:47 PM Tunnels.... gotta love em. :) EDIT: and doesn't it clean out carbon and crap anyway? So not only is it an amazing sound... but it helps too :) PrimusSucks 08-05-2008, 07:45 PM I love going through a bridge underpasses at about 8k.... just love it. Plus i always give a quick rev before shutting her down. restiller 08-05-2008, 07:53 PM oh crap, trick question! Of course i rev my car! but in a parking garage? eh tempting but not really. reminds me of that mitch hedberg joke about a monster magnet concert when they asked, "how many people feel like human beings tonight?" and mitch cheered. then they asked "how many people feel like animals tonight?" and everybody else cheered. "had i known that was a 2-part question, i would've cheered in the 'animals' part!" bose 08-05-2008, 09:12 PM I don't know why but I find it utterly irresistable to rev in any enclosed space, carwash, underpass, parking garages. :) Urban Legend 08-05-2008, 09:41 PM ^Got Milk?^ Urban Legend 08-05-2008, 09:54 PM Instead of honking I rev my engine whenever someone is driving too slow in front of me. I don't care if it's the highway, neighborhood streets, traffic, or driving locally. Zoom-Zoom l8itch... Myriad 08-05-2008, 10:29 PM It gets even louder once my vtec kicks in yo! http://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/6/6d/Vtecdriver.jpg The Fast and The Furious proves the superiority of VTEC, tbh. yale02 08-05-2008, 10:50 PM Yes, everyday... even when it was stock! BTW, the VTEC pics rock. 8 Maniac 08-11-2008, 04:32 AM it is a ton of fun... I rev just to rev... sometimes sets off alarms. There's a car next to my spot at my apartment that has a REALLY sensitive alarm. Sometimes it doesnt go off... sometimes revving does it, others it doesnt. Sometimes turning the car off does it, other times starting it will. What will do it most for some reason is the closing of doors though. Jethro Tull 08-11-2008, 04:12 PM Cav, I almost shot diet Pepsi out of my nose when I saw this picture. LOL! http://rsxisfaster.files.wordpress.com/2007/05/scootervtec.jpg Easy_E1 08-11-2008, 04:20 PM Hellz Yes!!!! Tunnels, parking garages, overpasses. Next to old ladies in Buick's. 8000 and a couple of throttle taps and some flameage to top it off. WOOOHOOOO! Brettus 08-11-2008, 04:40 PM When taking my kids to school I sometimes wind down both widows as we go through an underpass and chop it down to second then go hard on the throttle . They all just roll their eyes at me ....... Rhawb 08-11-2008, 04:46 PM Totally stock and all I have to do is drive normally to set off every oversensitive alarm within 50 feet. |
