NorthEast Exotic Car Show is to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation of NH.
It will be held on Saturday, August 16th on the grounds of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Merrimack, NH

Show Cars sould arrive between 8:30-9:30am
The Gates open to the public at 10am

This is a all day event and very family oriented guys and gals. I've went the past two years and its been a great spot to meet up with some of the 8 folks we havent seen for awhile. That and all the other car guys/gals are all great and very open. I'd love it if we where able to out do the Nissan Z's but would be killa if we out did the BMW crowd whom both had a decent to large showing each year.

Last year I wish to say that Krysy won best Mazda and I forget whom won second place for the Mazda class.

Any more info please check out northeastexotic.com or Jeff Torrey at 603-234-8898. I am sure that Jeff will be posting up his own thread or on this one but seeing as how its only weeks away I figured the sooner the word is out the better.

I'm sooo game for having a decent caravan up to this so come on people lets get a role call going already

1)Clavius

ps. All proceeds go to charity for this event. I wish to say admission is $10-20 but we do get a nice goody bag of meguirs stuff (atleast we did the last 2 years), that and knowing your helping a awsome charity (I think it is!).

bump.

keeping an eye on this. too soon to commit, but I'd like to make a meet of some sort this summer.

EDIT: I agree that Make a Wish is an fantastic organization and absolutely deserving of a $10 or $20 'donation'

Talked to Sokim he's interested and Midlifer is interested also. So 4 so far is pretty good. Already altered the GF to this and told her I've been to this 2 years in a row and its for charity, so I got a green light to go :)

Well my baby is being dropped off tomorrow for the bodyshop so I'll be ready by then! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Thinking I'll have to start sending out PM's to peeps to come up to this.

Definitely. It's a big if, tho. I'll be a last minute decision based on how much sleep I get that week.

I hope so to. Hopefully they realized that the more cars 'styles' they invite the more people will come and hence raise more money. last year there where no Evo's or STi's at all (that I remember seeing). Some might not consider them "sport cars" but they still have a following and I'm sure are charitible :) I dunno hopefully we'll see a large gathering this year. Still not that many responce's as I hoped to my 20 PM's about this.

Oh car is in the shop and should have her by Wed hehe.

What's the story for the 'donation' anyway? I didn't see anything about it on the website.

midlifer
08-05-2008, 10:05 AM
Not sure but i want to say last year was 20 bucks. I know it wasn't more than that and it could have been less.

Bob

Good enough. I'll just make sure I've got an extra 20 on me.

Clavius

The year before they didnt have it on the site either sadly. But I'd stick with the $20 "donation" assumption for right now.

BUMP! One more week guys and gals.

Oh and I'm also trying to convince the GF to let me host a lil party at our place afterward since her sister had her wedding today and we have a TON of left over food. And I mean ribs and chicken here folks and good stuff from what I constantly over heard. Plus we have enough soda to last even me over a month. I'll keep ya updated and hope/pray it happens hehe..

Got my fingers crossed. Might be going to Long Island to visit Kathleen's grandmother, but she may go w/her mom down there Thursday instead. Still a Saturday morning decision. :fingersx:

Clavius

Dmc call me up that morning to let me know if your coming or not. My house is a great meeting spot since its like a minute from 95 (and the shell station right by the entrance is usualy dirt cheap!).

I'm definatly going, the gf knows I need this and been wanting to go to this since its been a yearly thing for me. That and for Charity to boot so I think if she said no a part of her would feel guilty.

Josh I myself plan on getting there 'round the 8:30 arrival time atleast at the moment (might be later if Dmc is going and will be a bit late ;) ) what time do you and the Nepoc guys plan on arriving? Depending on how I'm feeling that day I may or may not have a lead foot!!!

dmc27
08-12-2008, 01:01 PM
I'll def. call you. What time do you plan on leaving TheBucket?

altspace

Hmmm...isolated thunderstorms. I'll have to keep an eye on the weather.

Clavius
08-12-2008, 02:40 PM
Well mapquest is telling me close to 2 hours to get there from my house. I'm scrapping my 8:30 show up time lol.. I'm thinking of leaving at 7am. I know I can definatly shave off a few (try several) minutes off the 1hr 41min estimate they give me.

Btw they are sending me up 495 then onto Rt-4 for Everett Turnpike.

dmc27
08-13-2008, 12:26 PM
It's the same distance whether you go 495 or 95, so why risk Boston traffic on 95?

And Josh, c'mon - it's summer in NE, when the f8ck won't there be "isolated thunderstorms" in the forecast??? :lol2:

Clavius
08-14-2008, 11:01 PM
Well I'm still going as it stands right now but I figured I'd post this up now just incase.

A friend borrowed my car today and has a few times this week. She told me tonight that while driving the car stalled atleast 3 times at a stop light. That and the check battery light came on numerous times. Oh and when the car was dropped off to me tonight I went to start it to go home, it sat at idle and felt like it wanted to die. Meh thinks its new motor times folks! :banghead:

dmc27
08-15-2008, 04:22 PM
suxors. I'll call you in the am Kev.

Clavius
08-15-2008, 06:17 PM
Hmm.. so anyone going to the show who has a Check Engine Light Checker? lol.. I gotz myself a SOLID CEL!! Whoohoo.. ugh.. car is starting to sound like it wants to die upon start up.. then slowly gets back into a somewhat normal groove. I'm definatly still going since I'm sure someone there might have a portable thingy on 'em.. a show as large as this someone should have one haha. Ok time to try to clean the car in this rainy weather lol.

I'll be expecting a phonecall in the AM. Hey Josh if you still have my number call me up tonight or tomorrow morning maybe to see if we could get some of meet up spot put together (unless your Nepoc guys are going a different route all together :)

Can't wait for this btw!!

Clavius
08-16-2008, 06:43 AM
Well I'm going Stag it appears. DMC hit a snag as it where but family comes first :)
Found out I have to drop off the kids so I myself hit a snag so oi.. here's hoping my car starts and someone has a scanner at the show..

That and just checked the weather channel.. weather cleared up nice for us today.. might be a bit chilly but still no rain (for the most part in the early am).

Clavius
08-16-2008, 04:53 PM
Well I just got back after a pit stop in Sharon.
I had a great time as always, met several great new people both 3 and a new 8 owner. Shame some of you guys didnt come up, the rain held off till about 1pm.

For trophies, SE3's (angela's? meh thinks that is her) made Rx-7 won first and a Miata won second. Only 3 Rx-8's showed up including myself. Bob, Don and myself all represented nicely I believe. Still unsure how the hell one of us didnt pull out 2nd place atleast?!?!? I knew the 7 would win first but 'eh.. who knows.

Pictures will be up soon in the multi-media section.
