Im in Texas and am doing water pump and radiator soon. Just wondering what would be the best water to coolant ratio I should use. Also, should I even bother with something like water wetter?

I was thinking of a 75 - 25 ratio.

depends on if you ever see freezing temps.

I don't, so I use almost 100% distilled water. then one or two bottles of water wetter to lubricate the pump.

in this thread: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=148711 a few pages in there are some people(mostly MM) who have tried many ratios and combinations. you may or may not actually NEED the cooling capacity. but if you want to find what rejects the most heat.... i'd read in there. iirc its something surprising, like close to 70/30

i usually do 50/50 but am in southern cali. it gets hot here over the summer, but usually never hotter than 110º F. dunno how scorching it gets in Plano.

I don't know about the ratio. There is huge thread on that subject around here somewhere and its mentioned a couple times. However I do know of alot of people using water wetter. I fired some WW in mine already.
