I'm currently working at sears auto center, and the pay rate is hourly rate+commission.
im wondering if the state takes taxes off of both my hourly rate and commission pay or is tax only taken off of my hourly rate.

Look at your paycheck stub.

It breaks your pay out by hourly pay and commission pay.

Then just figure out if your taxes are coming from one or both.

Taxes come out of both. it is still income, no matter the source.

since it is a corporation and not a fly by night operation, you can bet they are taking taxes out.

the hourly will be taxed seperatly from the comission. ie... they wont lump it all together first and then take out taxes.
