I just got my 04 RX-8 6MT a couple months ago and I just realized it doesn't have the DSC off button. Is there any way for us who have the RX-8 without the DSC off button to turn off the DSC?

Is there any way for us who have the RX-8 without the DSC off button to turn off the DSC? costello 07-24-2008, 12:42 PM If it does not have the button, then the car does not the stability or traction control. It's the base model (no foglights either). This is what I have. nycgps 07-24-2008, 12:49 PM you dont even know what trim ur car has ... failed. katafuji 07-24-2008, 09:13 PM I know what trim my car is, I just didn't that the base model doesnt have stability or traction control. Me and a friend found this abandoned Building with a big ass parking lot so we decided to unleash the beasts. My 8 had mad wheel hop during burnouts and when i tried to drift, it would just under steer. My friend told me it was the DSC interfering, thats why i asked this question. Now that know, i'll go and see what happens after I install my coilovers, exhaust, intake, and wheels next week. kersh4w 07-24-2008, 11:52 PM mad wheel hop is the result of no traction control and a noob behind the wheel. traction control cuts wheel hop by cutting the rpms until you gain traction. if you want to "unleash the beast" try launching at 4.5k and feathering the clutch out while slamming the gas. if you are understeering in this car, the solution is below your right foot. TheGreatLouisianaRoadkill 07-25-2008, 09:35 PM wow just wow Socket7 07-26-2008, 02:04 AM Yeah, the 8 is setup to grip not drift. You should put down some cones into a nice tight and curvy track and see who can knock over the fewest. Watch out for those speed bumps.... |
