Just to clear up a few questions. Im not from south Jersey so you probably havent seen my car haha but I have been in a few shows, and Im pretty sure my car hasnt been exposed online before these videos. Really glad you guys enjoyed it though, it took about a month to film all the different shots because I had a crew limited to 2 friends but I thought it turned out pretty well. Im starting to film my next video, have all the professional video/editing/mounting hardware necessary I just need some help if I am to improve upon the last video. Thanks for the feedback guys

I have to get out there and find some of these roads in NJ for my 8...

i remember lots of roads like that where i lived in tewksbury.

idk where he filmed that but, in Hunterdon County there is some amazing back roads... especially in Tewksbury

My intension for these videos is to try and clear up the negative stigma attached with the 8. There are so many videos out there of 8's drag racing and doing pulls and they are constantly getting bashed by other people with 350z's or Mustangs because we are a little bit slower in a straight line. Itll be worth it for me if I could convince even just a few that the 8 is so much more than that.

The roads are in morris county for the most part with a few private roads thrown in there for the 120+ shots. Mostly in the Harding, Morristown, Great Swamp area. Really great roads for anyone just looking to takes some bends.

I don't mean to be the jackass of the group but...

AWESOME video. The quality is completely outstanding. The camera angles are excellent. The lacking issue is...well, the content.

So, we are watching an RX-8 with a ricer wing *OK, I'm probably alone in that debate...wing is way too 'honda' for me.* We see a SEXY as hell RX-8 driving around a twisty road nice and calm. OK, that's great...except 90% of the video is JUST that. The credits is when it got real good, except for the biker doing something retarded and wearing a helmet and no leather otherwise....have fun with a functioning brain while you can't move your arms or legs. At least wear jeans and a shirt.

as far as the issue being the content, im working on it now actually, the problem was i only had one other person helping me at any given time so it was very hard to set up the angles i was looking for, this video was mainly a test to see how the rx8 community would react to a little change, and w/o trying to sound cocky there really arent that many high quality rx8 videos out there. Both videos were shot entirely in 1080 but were descaled for viewing obviously, and i thought that would be pretty cool to see the 8 move in high def. If you want some straight line speed there was a shot in there where it hit 122 on its way to over 145+ only problem is the camera, having a free fall sensor in it, cut off =(. Either way more content is comming. Not sure if you saw the second vid with my ninja but ill post the link anyway.

There is the blog created by the guys running Streetfire so itll always be saved under the July 2008 edition Best of Streetfire. Good start so far, and with a few more RX8 enthusiasts helping me it can only get better for the 8 from here on ;) Im still seeking a new location so if any one has any recommendations for good filming scenery dont hesitate to let me know.

Just incase anyone is still paying attention to this thread, I recently finished working on a new video thats been in progress for quite some time now. Its a new and darker take on the 8 and an entirely new filming/editing style for me. It took several seperate occasions of traveling to Philadelphia around 1-5 in the morning to get the shots.
