Did anyone else see it. Came out well and was as fast as a M3. Can't be bad. I was so excited I could not ring anyone to watch it as I did not want to miss a second. Hope it is repeated so I can tape it. Clarkson loved it which was a surprise and said it was the best handling car this year but of course all of you already know this and I will soon. Looked smart in Red.

holy $hit it tied an M3.

There are many factors, but the driver's experience is of the essence. If you put an average shmo behing an M3's wheel and tell him to take a lap, and you put Ralph or Michael S. behind the RX 8'' wheel, I wonder who will win. Then again, they could be on equal footing and the RX 8 is just THAT GOOD. I'll choose the latter, but you have to consider all the possibilities,

If anybody says the rx8 is not awesome....after watching this review...SLAP THEM.....This guy does not seem to go off on a car like he did with the eight...I have downloaded the lambo gall and several from others from different sites...And he was not nearly as impressed...

One of the best reviews I've seen JC give a car.

The TG test track is almost all curves, power isnt as important as handling, and the M3 is a lardy, fat bloater in comparison to the 8.

Oh and I think the M3 was tested by 'old' stig (Perry McCarthy) rather than new stig.

I saw it, excellent show, made me want an RX8 more :)

Yes as Rob says the two cars were driven by different people but it's still level with the M3. It also beat the Focus RS by about half a second.

Bummer about the driving in the rain thing though. Here in Oregon, we get LOTS of that.

All the cars are driven by the same guy "the Stig?" that show rocks. His opinion is very well respected IMO.

Is it certain that vehicle the same spec as the one in the US?

I think the spec is almost the same, only slightly less power. Really am not sure though.

I think he had the dsc off. I don't find my 8 twitchy in the rain. Either that or for political reasons he had to back off from the "best car" comment?

Hmm. So it might not be the same engine. That's not a minor detail.

It is the same engine! It makes less power in Euro form due to Europe's new stricter emissions laws. This makes the fact that it kept up with an M3 even more impressive!

yeah if anything that engine has less power than ours. God damn that video KICKED ASS.
