When I waxed my car I got some wax on some parts of the black plastic (bottom of the rear window). Any suggestions on how I might get this off?

Still not perfect though. Make sure you armor all the plastic after and be careful of the paint, good luck. Be careful. Takes a little elbow grease. Magic8 MrWigggles 11-26-2003, 09:35 AM Originally posted by jkamen I did the same and carefully used some rubbing alcahol. Rubbing alcohol won't hurt the paint but it can remove your wax depending on which type you used. -Mr. Wigggles Kap 11-26-2003, 01:24 PM Here's a link to another similiar thread posted awhile back http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?threadid=14824&highlight=toothbrush Efini 8 11-27-2003, 02:29 AM exactly what I said, Meguairs... they solve all car cleaning problems! demonfire 12-01-2003, 01:52 PM Try an eraser. Like on a pencil. Really. Or peanut butter. Yes, really. Alcohol will strip the wax of the nearby paint, and drips. An eraser and peanut butter (not used together) can be easily controlled. |
