XDEEDUBBX 07-15-2008, 02:15 AM not bad..
nuke0907 07-15-2008, 05:56 PM looks like you could shim your amp/cap rack up a little to be more flush. not bad though. i made my own as well.
Socket7 07-15-2008, 06:08 PM Simple and Clean. Not symmetrical.
I give it an A-. Satisfactory!
laythor 07-15-2008, 06:45 PM i'm not a big fan of "da" install...
firebirdude 07-15-2008, 07:01 PM Not symmetrical. My biggest issue with it.
But da install looks great!
seifer51582 07-16-2008, 01:52 PM for a single 12" type R it seems that you have an awful lot of port area to me. i just built a box in the back of a cougar with 2 of those subs in it and had about the same amount of port area. must just be tuned extremely low. not bad though just trying to be constructive.
firebirdude 07-16-2008, 08:36 PM Bah. You can never have enough port area. :)
But what I do notice is that it seems he went out of his way to make two ports and keep the box looking symmetrical...... but didn't even attempt it on the amp.
TonyCP 07-16-2008, 08:48 PM its cuz im goin to be adding an other amp for door speakers and just havent made the purchase yet for it
TonyCP 07-16-2008, 08:49 PM im goin to add an other capacitor and amp to mach
firebirdude 07-16-2008, 09:06 PM Um... ok. But you're obviously going to be forced to redo the amp covering with the addition of the new products. So why not make what you have now look straight? There was no work saved by offsetting the gear you have now.
TonyCP 07-16-2008, 09:43 PM no i already measured the new amp and it fits perfectly next to the one i have and i have left over covering to wrap again so no harm done
rogerdodger 07-16-2008, 10:14 PM You mean you still running the Bose amp and the sub? Jeeezzzzz I would have junked the Bose first then saved the money for the thumper.
Chadwisk 07-23-2008, 02:36 PM this is the exact setup my girlfriend just bought for me. i have the 10 inch sub with that 300w amp. hows it bump? i hope its not too annoying on the inside of the car.
WikkedOne 07-23-2008, 04:38 PM this is the exact setup my girlfriend just bought for me. i have the 10 inch sub with that 300w amp. hows it bump? i hope its not too annoying on the inside of the car.
Only 300? it is a 500w RMS sub.. I think you may need some more juice to fully enjoy your sub..
but to stay on the subject - is that a vented box? or does it have the vents just to make it look better?
and if your going to get another sub - you may want to consider getting a PDX 1.1000 amp - it's perfect 500w x2 RMS for your subs.. as well as being small enough to fit anywhere and producing a rediuclously small amount of heat..
I have it 2 type r 10's and they are AWESOME!
LiL BenNy 08-03-2008, 02:45 AM not a fan of it being offset.. i like things symetrical//
armyjay 08-13-2008, 06:33 AM great install - im gonna put a system in at the end of the month - maybe i'll do the same type of setup - but drop a sub in the area where you got the amp - im lookin for a small sub - 8 " - but im gonna get a jl or kicker - so it should still hit pretty good- great install - shit - you can do mine - close to st. pete fla ? ?? lol
TonyCP 08-13-2008, 01:48 PM sry im in tx

TonyCP 08-13-2008, 02:07 PM havent really noticed a difference on there still filling up once a week with 20 inch giovannas
henrijr 08-13-2008, 02:10 PM Its nice, I have the same sub.... just the amp and cap arent centered. but drivers choice i guess
