and a brake job is not a brake job without a hammer. !
tiltmode43 07-12-2008, 12:37 AM You, sir, are a man of class. The setup is going more and more in that direction!
Adino 07-12-2008, 08:43 AM Good stuff, did you get a whole kit? Did you replace the break lines while you were in there?
Optical TDI 07-12-2008, 06:02 PM Why does the caliper only cover about 2/3 of the rotor? Is this normal vs. the pad clamping to most of the rotor surface?
nvrfalter 07-12-2008, 06:36 PM Good stuff, did you get a whole kit? Did you replace the break lines while you were in there?
see the sig
rx8thunder 07-12-2008, 07:06 PM RB are supposed to be quite a bit lighter than OEM. Is that noticeable on the road?
Alucard 07-12-2008, 10:05 PM Adino: I had the rotors prior to getting the new calipers...no i didnt add the lines, i should have though
Optical TDI: IDK, its the same when ever you get new rotors...
rx8thunder: it is lighter that stock, and yes the new calipers are noticible on the road
kersh4w 07-12-2008, 11:42 PM lucky bastard.

NgoRX8 07-13-2008, 01:03 AM looks awesome man. i bet it feels awesome too.
TopGear8 07-13-2008, 01:26 AM That looks like sex.
Alucard 07-13-2008, 07:39 AM thanks for the comments guys...
kersh4w: it set me back about a grand... but if you add the rotors that I had from eairlier it was about 1500 total...
Ryan2008 07-13-2008, 08:59 AM Very nice work. They look sick with the new red calipers. How do the new brakes feel?
pdxhak 07-13-2008, 10:00 AM Looks awesome! How's the performance? If that lift is in your garage then I'm really going to be jealous!!!
Alucard 07-14-2008, 03:32 PM thanks guys.. the brakes feel great, you can feel it when your just crusing but when your on it and go to brake you can really feel it...

RA-Eight 03-18-2009, 05:21 PM Very nice! Are they the 13" or 12.6"?
Alucard 03-18-2009, 05:27 PM The 12.7" ones

Fortunate Few 03-18-2009, 05:33 PM looks great
RA-Eight 03-18-2009, 05:34 PM They look amazing. I have been eying this set up for some time now. Curious, why did you decide against the 13" setup?
Jedi54 03-18-2009, 05:41 PM Alucard: Grats on getting the 2 piece rotors, those things are BALLER! ;)
ugh, now you have me thinking about even MORE mods....
Alucard 03-18-2009, 05:52 PM RA-Eight: I actually had their one piece setup along time ago.. and then when I added their 4-piston caliper I wanted it to work with the stock rotor size because I didnt know when I would be going to get the two piece... if i had to do it again... i would save all my money from the get-go and just buy the 13" kit....lol... but it turned out great and it still functions the same so I am happy...
Jedi: hahaha yea those brakes are probably my most costly mod... and I havent tracked it yet :(
Ross_Dawg 03-18-2009, 07:20 PM Looks awesome man, really enhances the appearance
RA-Eight 03-18-2009, 10:02 PM RA-Eight: I actually had their one piece setup along time ago.. and then when I added their 4-piston caliper I wanted it to work with the stock rotor size because I didnt know when I would be going to get the two piece... if i had to do it again... i would save all my money from the get-go and just buy the 13" kit....lol... but it turned out great and it still functions the same so I am happy...
I'm going through that exact thought process. I think I'd like to go 13", 2-piece off the bat. But haven't decided on the RPF1 fitting or OEM. My concern is I'm running Gram Lights 57F for track (18x8.5, +45et, all corners), and I'm not sure if the spokes will clear. My daily wheels, Volk GTS (19x8.5, +34et front) will clear, no problem.
Easy_E1 03-18-2009, 10:18 PM Special! Looking very nice.
heyarnold69 03-18-2009, 10:20 PM smart men prefer brakes over intakes :)
9krpmrx8 03-20-2009, 04:08 PM Definitely one of my favorites 8's. I love functional mods. Looks sick man.
Alucard 03-20-2009, 06:03 PM thanks for the comments... there really appreciated :)

dansy 03-24-2009, 01:43 PM Thinking of these myself, do have you any intention to install the rear 2 pieces rotor to match?
Look very good....
