Corksport kit

Is there any other kit like the corksport that does the same thing? Because I looked at Corksport and I cant justify $445.00 just to mount a stereo. Is there anything more economicly feasible?

Will do, seems like a good kit. Now I just need to see if I can wire my Sirius radio up to my sunglass holder and make it look good.

If its everything they say it is, then it will be better and cheaper than the 'other' kit out there.

msrp is 130 bucks, some places are selling for around 180 bucks though, end of August is what I'm hearing from the Metra folks as far as when they'll start trickling out.

If the Metra price keeps going up, and with the delays soon they won't have any edge over Corksport.

I think Metra realized exactly how expensive it is to produce a box to emulate the AC controls... can't really fault Metra for that.

Any such logic chip for AC can be made for less than $5. And there is no price yet, so stop speculating.

I've always heard around the $200 mark. The Mazda 6 kit is ~$160 and doesn't come in piano black.

And something people always forget about. The actual cost it takes to make a unit like this means little to nothing. You have to pay for the R & D it took to plan it out. You have to pay for the labor/machine to assemble them. You have to pay for the building those labor/machines are in. You have to pay to advertise your product via the web. Etc etc etc. It all gets rolled into final price. If you can make it cheaper yourself... it's a free country. Good luck.

I like that we have three topics going about the same subject....in which we feel the need to make sure each topic has every shred of info that the other does.

Mod, if you could please make 3 copies of every topic for us? I find that the 18 hours a day I spend online is not wasted enough.
