Black Shinka loses :(
But it wasn't a race or anything like that. My tale is much more horrific.
I was parked at the lake for the 4th of July Holiday. Parked out of the way so no one could ding me or what have you, and out onto the lake I ventured. Ladies, Corona, and sunburn. When I retrun several hours later, I see a black Camaro parked beak to beak into my 8! He pressed my front bumper in about 4 inches and slid the whole car back about 8 inches, and the parking brake was set!!!
Though I was ANGRY I decided to let the law handle it. Long story short, the cops took care of it very professionally and found the Camaro at fault. I just got the estimate, somewhere's in the upper $700's to fix. The cop has all the photos so I have none to post. The big expense was the clear bra that needs to be replaced. I'm waiting to hear from their insurance.
(also, that front bumper must be memory plastic, because the hot sun did wonders on it a day later)
The Camaro was unscathed. :icon_no2:
On a brighter note, I also drove from South Dakota to Wisconsin this weekend.
Cruise set at 76, 81 degree day, no wind (RARE), relatively flat terrain, 4000ish RPM, 91 octane 250 miles 10.67 gallons= 23.43 mpg!!. I was very very happy with that. The 2008 Jeep Wrangler V6 I was traveling with only got 17 mpg. And he wasn't having the fun I was having. :wiggle:
Cheers and hope you all had a better 4th than me!
