Need help with insurance..couple questions.

Hey everyone hows it going...

i'm a 17 year old male and i own a new 2007 mazda 6 s touring edition.

don't get me wrong i love the car, but a couple months ago i fell in love with the 8. my mom decided to surprise me with the 6, not knowing my love for the 8. i was happy but on the inside, i kind of died a little. not only that, but it was tungsten gray , which looks purple.

so i know i could trade my vehicle in and get a used 8. i have done my research on this car, i know the mileage, i know the maintenence, but i also know the lifestyle. i want a car that's unique. something no one else i know has. something that will set me apart. and that is the 8...

so my main question is...

right now i'm paying 136 per month for my 6

will that change for the 8? i think i have state farm, does anyone happen to know their policy on the 8?

thanks a bunch,

17? You will pay out the A** most likely it's not cheap for anyone really but for a NEW driver they will charge you more than anyone(this is saying u have a clean driving record so far, no tickets, wrecks) I'd learn to drive the 6 and enjoy it for now and wait tilll later after you get the "dumbass" mistakes from driving out of ur head then go 4 the 8

your insurance will skyrocket with the 8. I'm under my parents and i'm ******* paying 1200 for 6 months. That's double what i paid from a 90 accord. If i was to get insurance by myself. The prices i was quoted ranged from 2500 to 4000$. Clean record, my age is going against me, 20.

There is a huge thread about insurance, go look for it. To know what it would cost you all you have to do is call your agent. It's dependent on a lot of factors and won't be the same as someone else.

Well i work for statefarm here in texas. i just did a auto quote for my self with 04 8 and your 6. i would pay 70.00 dollars more every 6 months. then my co worker allow me to do a quote on her under age son. and it showed 90.00 more every 6months.

now keep in mind, every one ins quote premium is always different. but i do not think you will see a huge jump from going to a 6 to an 8. btw this is in texas. other states laws are different.

My insurance is nearly $250 a month... and thats with my dad as the primary driver on my 8. Our agent helped us out and put me as the primary driver on our cheapest car to insure... my sister's 08 Subaru Legacy. Your insurance will go up significantly. Good luck. This was up from $190 a month on my Audi A6 4.2L S-line... work that out. My insurance went up $360 every six months. I have a completely clean driving record and I am 18.
