I am a member of 240sxforums.com but for some reason I have been spending more time reading through this forum, so I became a member.
I used to own an RX-7 (84 GS) and am dieing to get another rotary. I test drove an RX-8 a few weeks ago and really liked it. Faster than I expected at low rpm for the low torque, nice sounding exhaust, and nice range of colors, although I think Mazda needs to sell the white one in the states. I personally would take a blue GT with the factory spoiler :D . I know the 1st model year for cars is kinda rough b/c of all the kinks. I hope Mazda fixes all of the problems that I've been reading about for the 2004.5 model. Just two final thougts. 1) Don't complain about the mpg. My street ported 12A got 17 mpg - 12 mpg if I drove it the way it was ment to be :p . 2) Why do so many people care so much about 9 hp? 9 hp in a 3000 lb car doesn't make that big of a difference. And besides, the RX-8 is ment to be a praticle, up market performance car. If you want a street racer save your $$ for the 4 gen RX-7.
