I'm just after getting my first rx-8 and all i can say is WOW...

I previously had an s2000 and i didn't think the rx-8 was going to be as quick as it is (and i also didn't think i'd be pulling into Petrol stations as much as i do... but it's worth it)

I'm just after checking my oil again and it needs a re-fill. I have searched through the site and read the FAQ and i can't seem to find what oil it should take.

I have a gun metal grey 2004 231 rx-8, can anyone advise me on what oil i should put into it,

Where do you live? Mazda's recommendations are geographically based.

5w-30 is probably good. If you're in a hotter climate, consider 5w-40 or 10w-40.

5w-20 in the US if you want to emotionally support Ford in their efforts to avoid CAFE fines.

 

People would say that you can search for it and get the answer quicker.

btw, oil as engine oil or oil as gas.....

don't be shy on 5w20 or 30 in this area your safe .but a search don't hurt.
