I was curious what dealerships everyone thinks does a great job here in Austin, because I want somewhere else to go for work on my RX-8. I went to Mazda South this time, because they are closest to my location, but wow...it is amazing how much they can screw with you, as they've hung onto my car for over a week now. And my sig says it all for what they just did to me.

i used to go to mazda south and like them, never had a problem. when my tech left, i switched to roger beasley, and they're actually a lot closer to my apt. they've been great - ask for kenneth - i've been there a lot in a short time (had my reman done there, bought out my 8 there too) and they've been great. got my reman done a day before they even said it would be done, and i thought they'd be late! anyway, pm if you have more questions, but check them out and ask for kenneth.

There was a guy south named Al who was great, once he left, they went to shit in my opinion. So basically, if you live south you're screwed since there are 2 confirmed good places I know of that won't screw up your car, those 2 places are premier in georgetown, and jc-autspec (John and Corky's) in round rock, a possible thrid place might be the central beasley on burnet rd., which is still pretty far north, and I have no experience with them so I can't comment on their abilities.

When I search Premier they are mentioned quite a bit, I might go there next time just to see about the service.

I have heard good things about Roger Beaseley from the guy in Austin we purchased our RX8 from. He purchased the car from there and they did all repair/service/warranty work.

roger beasley won't pay attention to anyone young...

That can be true of a lot of dealers though.

I didnt buy my car from roger beasly and they have always taken good care of me..

theyve overhauled my tranny 3 times!

even with my intake pulleys and exhaust they didnt void my warranty they were pretty cool..

I asked him about the synthetic oil dilemma and he said ntot o use synthetic since they dont know what it will cause int he longt erm but that theres no problem using thicker oil..

i thought this was a very good response on his behalf

Premier in Georgetown- Rich Trottier in service rocks. Great service on a regular basis. Not too excited about their sales people, but service has been excellent.
