350z exhaust on an RX8?

Just a curious question; we all know how nice the factory exhaust sounds on the Z. But has anyone experimented or is it even possible to fit the 350's exhaust on the 8? I'd be interested to hear how it sounded.

not even remotely possible

we do not have dual exhaust manifolds. their setup is true dual or dual from an X pipe back after the manifold. plus their muffler and tip position is meant to hang below the bumper, not arch up like ours do.

Lets also not forget that even IF you got it to fit, it won't sound the same because you have a completely different engine.

I aware that I wouldn't get the same sound, I said I would be interested in hearing what it sounded like.

Even if you could put same exhaust on a 350z and RX8 and both will have a different sound.

i installed a 350z exhaust and intake on my rx8 and now it sounds the same as a 350z. So now I'm looking into installing a rx8 exhaust on my 350z so all my cars don't sound the same.

Not without some cutting and rewelding plus some random bumper modifications.

wow. wtf.
I was wondering why I just got an email notification on this thread.

answer: absolutely NOT, the exhaust will not fit. Besides that, Nissan / Infinity exhausts are the WORST. Why would you purposely want your car to sound like a dying cow?

Yes and we all know the exhaust sound is from the mufflers and not the engine itself................... And he just had to be from San Antonio too.
