I have a rx8 Cobb AP for sale that was purchased from Jeff ( MazdaManiac ). I will have pics up tomorrow.

AP will be uninstalled from the car once a buyer is confirmed. I have 07 MT N/A maps on it right now. Jeff should back this as I did purchase this from him. He also can you send you MAP specifics for your vehicle once you receive it.

Price - $575 SHIPPED ANYWHERE IN THE US

No I do not mind at all. I understand that Jeff has been very busy, and I tend to be impatient at times. So I went looking at local shops to see if they could give me a tune. Well the local shop that is installing my nitrous tomorrow is not going to get the pro tune software b/c of lack of interest from rx8's around me. So, the guy that I got my nitrous kit from is selling his E-manage Ultimate w/ harness and all. The shop said they are more familiar w/ the greddy system and could do me any map I wanted even nitrous maps. So, I am selling my AP and PLAN on getting his E-manage. Hope that answers your question.

In a nutshell the AP is awesome and I'm going to miss having my cat CEL off, but this is more practical for me in my area.

AlienRX8 I am sending him a PM now asking him to view the thread and Post in it. I hope he gets to it...but I did purchase it from him. He has stood behind previous ones sold so I don't know why he wouldn't this one.

I think that offerring up Jeff's additional work for free is a bit harsh. i wouldn't assume anything until he tells you directly. If I were him, there would be a point where the flipping of the AP's would get to me, and I would stop allowing succeeding users the benefits of buying form him directly. If he continues with his practice of being a nice guy about it, it says a lot about him. I haven't seen one place where he has complained that this is taken for granted, I just felt the need myself. He will be doing nearly as much work for the new owner, after already doing the work he was paid for.

Actually not that much work since it already has the maps for an 07 mt and thats what my car is. Only the time to tweak it with me. I dont know I guess its up to him.

I understand revvitupp. I completely see your point. However, in Jeff's already overwhelming amounts of work with the AP and BHR / MM product line releases, I never received support after the purchase. I am in NO way saying that it was a lack of concern on Jeff's part. I am merely saying that I did not have the patience " ME " to wait. That is not Jeff's problem. This is just a easier fix for me here in NC where the "Tuner" world is not so big. Getting the Ultimate is more practical for me than having the AP.

I agree he has gone above and BEYOND what anyone had to, and I commend him for that. I can only HOPE he does support mine like he has the rest. If he doesn't, then I assure you it will not be falsely advertised.

I will support the next owner.
Just realize that you are in a very long line and it might take me a while to get up to speed - especially if the buyer has a highly customized setup.

I won't be supporting third owners! lol.

It wasn't a shot or anything like that, jsut saying that continued support should be a blessing not an expectation, as he has replied, he will be doing so...

And as you say you have not received the after purchase support, that does kind of void my argument. My point was that if he walks you through gettign the right map, you chance a couple fo things, he supports again, then you sell it and has to go through the same multi-step process with 6 more owners that is ridiculous.

Consider it simply making a point as to the work he has done, and a backlog he is currently been experiencing.
I will be purchasing a unit directly from him at some point in the relatively near future, though I may consider an option liek this if he continues to go above and beyond, Though I wouldn't expect it. I would not buy an AP, myself personally, without a willing and able tuner ready to assist.

I never received support after the purchase.

I just read this part. WTF?

What happened to I have been running map v1.4b and my car has been running flawlessly
??

The e-mails on May 7th, 8th, 14th didn't constitute support?

I wouldn't bid on this even if I was ready to buy. To be honest, I think Jeff is going way beyond customer service. When I am ready, I will buy directly from MazdaManiac. If his commitment to customers is this good in this situaion, I feel confident I will be satisfied.

and this is why I have chosen the devils hairdryer by MM/BHR for my turbokit choice. Jeff only does quality, and having Charles just over an hour away to do the install who also only puts out quality. and the over and above support/assistance offered by both parties cant be matched by anyone that I have seen yet as far as vendors and such on this board. I am not bad mouthing any of the vendors, they do what is needed, but Jeff and Charles go ABOVE what is needed/required.

yup.. hes venting with me right now. I feel ramon's pain. this is the SECOND time in a week this happened to him upon calling dibs and someone following got it. It also happened to me last week with a set of accents. it seems dibs no longer means sh!t on this board. some longtimers on the boards do, and there are great sellers, but this kind of stuff is total BS.

was it b/c alien was in PR?

Seems shipping would have been more but...he was willing to pay for it?

Dunno, I'll probably buy one of these things new to avoid this type of situation.

Shipping should not be an issue. Customer pays for how and where he wants it delivered.

i don't know if alien followed up with him after he simply call "dibs" in his thread....

I followed to Pm and asked him if it was sold..its not sold..

so i paid for it and he accepted...

for some people money talks...

most buyers i have encounters call dibs/interest and never get back to me after maybe 1-2 pm exachanges...

Ok let me just clarify this just so we can give this a rest. I called dibs and isntantly sent a pm. We exchanged a couple of pms and we were just waiting on MM to say what he said and I also sent him my shipping information so that he could find out if shipping was an issue and any money had to be added. I am still waiting for that response.

So yes I did contact him and yes I did follow up on him because I was genuinely interested. But it didnt happen. Too bad for me I guess.

I have no ill feeling whatsoever, I wish you the best with the AP and I am forever greatful that MM would support this. Too bad its not for my car :(

But there will be others. Good luck and just let it go already. What's done is done.

thanks for the luck with the AP=)

best of luck to you as well finding your next AP FS..

TurboEight - I have sent a PM to Alien. I forgot all about his PM's b/c I dropped my car off at a shop 1 1/2 hrs. away yesterday to get my Nitrous Installed. I am picking it up tonight. When I got home I had COMPLETELY forgotten about his PM's. You will receive the AP...please enjoy it. I have offered a compensation to Alien b/c I never meant to do him wrong.

Alien - Please accept b/c I truly want to make this right by you.

Jeff - I hope you didn't feel I was attacking you, I was impatient for a tweak to the map, your support and care of your customers was never in question. Thank you for supporting this. If I didn't need the $ right now I wouldn't have gotten rid of it. The E-manage is the best option for me right now that will also leave me some $ I need for real Life shit.

Why fight when things can be solved so easily. We are all part of a family here in the rx8club so we should help each other instead of try to run over each other.

Good luck with everything guys!
