I'm on the RX-7 Forum too, I have a 3rd gen.

I got this little flyer from Mazda the other day that was about the RX-8, and amongst other things it says how "soon you will be able to custom order your RX-8 before they are even in showrooms....". One thing I am curious of is the potential color choices. I've seen red of course, and yellow and blue. But is there going to be any "signature" colors or special colors like the Competition Yellow Mica that the FD had? Does anyone know?

Hey Baja, welcome! Read PatrickB's FAQ area. You've got a lot of thread reading to catch up on.

They are not going to have snowflake white pearl, but we will get all the other colors.

How do you know that snowflake white pearl won't be offered. I was hoping that it would because that was going to be one of my color choices.:(

The fact that the white will only be available in Japan (at least initially) is one of those details.

It is a heavyweight glossy paper flyer, half page in size. The front of it has a red RX-8 on it with the words "Start the Revolution" - 2004 MAZDA RX-8 and this cool stylized rotor symbol.
On the back it says, "Get on the A-List" and tells you to visit www.MazdaRX-8.com and register to receive priority updates, and then some other information.

There's one thing I've been pondering about this chart:

"M" seems like a reference to "Metallic"
Does "Mc" mean "Multicolor"? If so, then the option of red or green multicolor is sweet as all getup.
Any clue what "So" means? "Solid", maybe?

Maybe mica fleck? And yeah, probably so for solid?
