Get the CEL code pulled and we can help you otherwise we're just guessing.
Also what year is your car, how many miles, maintenance history, driving style, gas mileage?

Well you're right in the zone for coils, plugs and wires but get the codes pulled first.
I bought my coils and plugs at www.finishlineperformance.com and my wires from www.racingbeat.com

This would be my guess as well, the code is probably misfire. I had this happen on my miata, swapping plugs and wires did the trick. You don't want to drive it in this condition, it'll kill the cat.

oh and regarding the warranty, my dealer specifically said on the day I bought the car that it is not necessary to show proof of proper maintenance (so long as there's nothing obvious, like running on no oil). Donno if this can be generalized though, especially if you bought it used.
