If you see a Coors Light beer truck weaving through traffic, can you please call the Putnam County Sherrif's Office?
The $21,500 worth of Coors Light beer was "supposed to be delivered to Montgomery, Ala. but never made it to the destination," says a report by Putnam Sheriff's Deputy Steven Elrod.
That's what officials at Transpro Express Inc. of Silver Point told the deputy last week. One of their drivers had picked up the load of beer and had later brought the truck back. But the place the beer was to have been delivered to never received it, the trucking company officials said.
When the driver brought the truck back to Silver Point, "the cargo was missing with the exception of a few packs of beer and some packing material," the report says.
The beer cargo was picked up from Coors Brewing Co. and was to have been delivered to Allstate Beverage Co. Inc., 1580 Parallel St., Montgomery, the report says. It included 1,500 18-packs of Coors Light, 240 12-packs of Coors Light, and 576 six-packs of Coors Light. The trucking company, after learning that the cargo was never delivered, contacted the Sheriff's Department.
