With the RX8 review coming up (hopefully this Sunday) on Top Gear, any thoughts on where it will appear on the Cool Wall?

A car's position here seems almost totally random as far as I can tell - bears no relation to how they rate it during the test or by the Stig's time.

I dont think its anything to do with how the car works/performs.

GC loves the way the car works, full of praise aparently for its handling, engine etc. yet thinks its styling is 'chintzy'. Expect middle at best IMO.

I reckon Sub Zero personally! Mainly due to it's engine and smart styling freestyle dorrs.

And if it isn't sub-zero, I expect the BBC to be flodded with complaints :)

I think it's gotta be cool at least if not sub zero purely for it's uniqueness.

So, what you're saying is... if you had Brittany Spears in your RX8 with you, you'd feel uncool... right?

Right, I'd feel very hot. :D

Not the coolest woman to advertise your car though.

Who would you prefer? Madonna?

I don't think the point is whether Brittney is cool or not. The point is what other £20,000 car are you likely to see in a video by a major recording star. I mean, she wasn't going to drive up in a Honda Accord was she?

The producer could have picked any Ferrari or Porsche he wanted, but he chose the RX-8. He obviously thinks it's pretty cool, so who am I to argue?

Let's be honest here, we're all crapping ourselves that Clarkson will make that 'one' remark that will get played back to us at every opportunity by our mates...then we'll get all defensive...residuals will drop like a stone...it'll end up on the uncool bit of the wall...nightmare, nightmare.

Seriously, what is the worst thing he can say? It's a girls car? Nope too powerful for that, It doesn't drive well?, No way Jose. It's expensive...nope, It's under equiped..definately not. Bad build quality? nah. It doesn't hold the road in the wet...turn the DSC on Mr Clarkson! It's a mid-life crisis car? - OK well maybe that one.

Doh!...if we'd thought about this en masse last week we could have all got some tickets for the recording from www.applause.com, taken a day off work, nipped down to Godalming and been there to cheer, boo and cadjole Mr Clarkson as necessary.

Oh no, I've just realised that this'll be like watching England in a penalty shootout, too scared to watch, too facinated not to.

She is posh totty, as well as being an accompolished actress, so JC thnks shes of a discerning nature. Is it classy enough for her, is what JC's angle is.

Personally, gauged by the reaction today, just about.
