Found this on the JC Whitney website, looks really easy to install. I'm sure Mazda wouldn't approve of it but I think it'll do until they come up with a block heater for the 8.

They have a 250 watt version for up to 12qt oil pans and a 125 watt version for up to 4qt oil pans. I'm thinking the bigger one would be better for the really cold days we get up here in the Frozen North.

It looks like it will do the trick. Beside, I think it will save $$$ on gas if the engin will warm-up faster.

I am thinking of getting this as well.
