Hey ya'll:

My RX8 was involved in a frontal colliosion (passenger side) a while ago. It was repaired, but I noticed that the steering isn't what it used to be (i.e the steering wheel is slightly tilted the right and not dead center.) Also the front suspension popped and squeeled like the body of an old rusty pickup truck. I took back to body shop and they said that the suspension wasn't tighted as it should have been. They tightened all of the linkages, and then sent me over to the dealer to have the front-end aligned (the body shop picked up the tab.) They aligned it as best they could and the steering is centered, but the service manager at the dealer stated that the alignment was as good as it was going to get because my sub-frame was bent. He suggested that I talk to the body shop for a resolution. I called body shop and that manager said that they would have to straighten the sub-frame and that shouldn't be a problem. This morning, I noticed another little "pop" coming from the front suspension and I started to get really irritated. In my mind, the suspension is going to revert back to that popping and squeeling, therefore the steering will be off again (hopefully I'm wrong.) My question is, do you think I will continue to have problems with my car? I love her so much until I don't want to even think about getting rid of her. I know that my problem may be unique, but any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ya'll

Go to a different body shop. They should have straighten the sub frame to begin with. Where do you live maybe some on the rx8 club can tell you a good place to go to

I live in Louisiana. By the way what is the subframe and how is it different from the mainframe?
