i think this kit looks amazing. so im not asking for opinions. http://www.buddyclub.us/

im asking about fitment. this looks ridiculously awesome, and i may just have to sell the AP that i just bought to finance this. my car is going to the bodyshop on monday anyway. i know im getting a new rear bumper and im probably getting a new front bumper, in which case i might as well just body kit it.

unfortunately there is fitment to be concerned with when it comes to body kits.

im glad you lik eit and you wont let people sway your choice...i personaly dont like it too much but i respect that you do.

as for fitment all depends on how well the kit is made and if its been sitting for a long time...all body kits are a apain to put on but some are easier then others.

i had a veilside invader 2 for a while and it was the biggest b**** to put on

not a bad thread. unfortunately it lets me know i have to remove the rear bumper reinforcement. which is really too bad because that means the rear is going to get passed over. which is too bad, because i like complete kits. although i dont understand why, the rear looks identical except with a skirt at the bottom. i'll email them.

you would be surprised to know how many kits require removal of the rear re-bar

I have no experiance with the kit, I like it tho.
I wouldnt put it on my car, but its nice.

and from previous experiances with buddy club products. I would highly recomend them, I have never owned any of their aero parts, but I had a set of their coilovers on my FC and they were fantastic.

Doesn't the front bumper show the bumper support if you don't take it off, since the opening is so big. I don't know if that matters to you or not...

I find it interesting they show the kit with the MS spoiler installed. IMO, that's what makes the look, not the kit itself.

it all depends on a few things, but if i can do it, i definitely am.

im awaiting an estimate, how long it will take, etc etc. i have parking lot dings that are getting taken care of, and i need a new front and rear bumper cover so i figured this was a good time to go aftermarket. however, if its too expensive, well, its too expensive and i cant afford it. and thats that. lol. this is also my only car so time is an issue. i know if i was going OE my car would be back this friday.

I was just wanting to know what spoiler you plan on using (if any), since the pics for the kit show the MS one.

i feel you my rx8 is my only car too so its hard 2 always do work on it, but almost all the kits for the 8 are mad expensive thats why i didnt even bother with one. Anyway good luck with everything and keep us posted on what you plan to do

Bump

Did anything happen of the email? It does look nearly identical. I've actually become a huge fan of this kit, with a single exit exhaust the rear would be <3 to me. If for some reason the rear support doesn't need to be removed, those attending seven stock 11 should look for a white buddy club'd 8 ;)

My friend has authentic Buddy club kit on his RSX. We did DIY together. Easy as bolt-on.

If you really want it go for it,,, expensive is always good for kits, in most cases it insures quality,,, I've seen the authentic kit on a Civic and talked to the ower and he said the fitment was excellent. You usually end up saving in the long run by cutting out extra expenses in custom adjustments by your body shop....

I think the Buddy Club front, and the Buddy Club sideskirts or even the Knight Sports sideskirts would look good with whatever rear of your choice.

you will need to remove/modify the rear reinforcement bar to get this kit to fit.

i did not go ahead and do this as my car was in the shop for 3 weeks already and it would have taken another 6 to get this kit in from japan.

i was hoping buddy club usa might have had ONE rx8 kit in stock state-side. no luck and i needed my car. maybe next summer.
