^ Ouch, that sucks, looks like it was a very clean Miata. Any injuries? Any wreck in a Miata must be scary though I think they are actually fairly safe for such a small convertible.

MACABRE RX-8 - oldy but a goody: http://home.comcast.net/~store0001/macabre/ it was kinda of funny, the ambulance arrived, they where looking for some one who had severe injuries. they where asking ppl who drove the green car. then they finally asked me who was driving it, i said me. they looked at me and said you look like you was not in a accident. but the only injuries i had was a swolen ankle :lol2: . ohter person who ran the stop sign was not wearing a seat belt and flew out h er window.

The person behind me said my car flew and did a 720 while in the air. oh well was a year ago when this accident happen.

Yep that car was very clean, (and my daily driver and rx8 was just a weekend car) had for 3 and half years. going to get me a another one this summer. trying to find me a 94-97 due to LSD. think i will get it painted it satin black :). this time i am going to install a roll bar though. the car was lower but my coils went bad 2weeks before my wreck, so i ordered news one, but installed my stock for the time being. sad thing is, the couple days before the wreck, i had spent all day changing all the belts and waterpump :(

If i could do HS again i would have this car be my first car . but since during the mid 90's ( i graduted HS 94 in okinawa japan) Trueno and Levin Ae86 and 80's Toyota Carina was the car you get first to learn to drift. but this car to me is alot easier to control (kinda of hard for me to explain in english) hmm i think the word i want to use is maneuver (i do not think that is spelled right) better then trunk Trueno did.

Yeah, I've never driven any of the Ae86's (similar to the Corolla GTS in US I think) but have driven the Miata's on a few occasions and the handling even in stock form is great and seemed somewhat easy/forgiving to push to the limits. I remember when they arrived everybody wanted one. I graduated HS in '95 in Texas (rural east) and it seemed the cars to have then and there were Camaro Z28's or Mustang GT's if not some sort of huge 4WD truck with most people never even thinking about drifting - just drag racing light to light or off-roading. The DSM's ('95 Eclipse/Talons/Lasers) were very popular, too. I always wanted either a FC or older RX-7, older Supra, MR-2 or 300ZX while I was in HS and eventually got the RX-7 my last year (I was amazed at even the stock FC RX-7's handling capabilities on the twisty banked rural highways I grew up around). Shows you how different the car cultures were back then.
