Ever since I was a kid, my family has told me that I should sell cars since I'm such a gear head. I now KNOW what I have always suspected: there isn't anything in this world that I would have liked less. Graduate school was more enjoyable. Great article, thanks.

He said that on the test drive the important thing is to keep talking: 'Here's the headlights, here's the gas cap. Here's the trunk. Anything! Understand?
Does this actually work? Whenever salesmen do this to me it makes me not want to buy anthing. Pretty much any big purchase I make I need some time to examine the product without someone in my face before I will actually buy it, am I unusual?

That was a loooooong article. Very well written and researched. That is a though world these guys live in. Capitalism, morality, and self interest doesn't mix very well together. At the end of the article you pitty and hate these guys at the same time. I reads like "death of a salesman". Willy Loman has nothing on these guys.
