People have posted pics of those exhaust tips before...only problem was the price for them was outrageous. Also, I think it just slips over the stock tip if I remember correctly.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that ANY bolt on exhaust tip on ANY car just makes it look cheap?

It is one thing to change because you are modding and another to front like you have something you do not.

The link to Knightsports blog is above for these; titanium, 47,250JPY so: *nearly* $500 *each*

We won't put these on our site anytime soon....

Seriously, a blanket statement like that doesn't make sense. There are ways to make it look good (certainly helluva lot better than the factory tips) and it can look tacky too, of course. Just have to find the right way to do it.
As for these rotor shaped ones, I think that apart from the ripoff price, there is a point when there are just too many rotary thingies on the car... so I wouldn't go this route.

For $1K you can get one hell of an entire exhaust. :Eyecrazy:

They're titanium, thats the reason for the high price.

not only are they too expensive but I think it would be overkill on the rotary theme and would look tacky IMO.

a bit of overkill on the rotary theme. as if the RX8 doesn't have enough rotaries incorporated into the design...

XLR83N
05-25-2008, 03:26 PM
looks stupid with the stock tips inside it, would need to chop them off and weld these on

yushinrt
05-25-2008, 06:40 PM
yea it will be better if they chop off the factory tip

i wouldn't bother. Ti tips get f--ked up due to the heat. At least they do on my car.

those are nice tips....$500 is a bit much. Had they been $200ish that would've been more justifiable but then again the high price will just make them more exclusive dur to the fact people don't want to shellout $500 for tips. The pieces themselves look really nice and well made. But I have to ask are those screw ons or weld ons? Im assuming even if they are screw ons they can be welded on.

Kudus to who ever got them as of right now you are probably the only one or one of the very few that got them on. But please take some more pix like to get better views of it....those are deffinately beautiful.
