i know this might sound really stupid to some.. but i have no clue about tires...

the tires are for 19 inch wheels... the dimensions are 235/35/19.. i was wondering if that will be low profile.. thanks!

The first number, 255 or 235, is only the width of the tire. The second number relates to the sidewall height, but only as a ratio in comparison with the width. 255/30/19 is only slightly lower profile than 235/35/19, the sidewall is about .2 inches shorter. But 235/30/19 tires have sidewalls that are about .4 inches shorter than 235/35/19. 255/35/19 is about .3 inches higher sidewall than 235/35/19.

Here's a tire size calculator that can let you compare tire sizes:

No, it's not a stupid question! Use robrechts miata chart. You'll get a good idea on tire sizes. Try playing around with diferent sizes. Your stock tire size is 225/45-18(keep that the same and change the new tire size to your choices.)

To answer your question, Yes a 235/35-19 is a very low profile tire.
