Right now I am looking at three different options for rims on my sunlight silver 8. I am looking for something lighter than stock and I am just starting my addiction to autocross. There are three rims that I am looking at currently.

1. Enkei RPF-01
2. TSW Trackstar
3. Enkei RPM2

The reason that I am looking only at these three is for a couple reasons. One is cost, two is that I am going to have to go through a local tire shop to get them and will be using my current credit line with them. I know that the RPF-01's were 17.4? pounds, I showed the RPM2's at over 19 pounds, so they were a bit heavier....but couldn't find any weights what so ever on the trackstars. I am also curious as to what you think would look best on my car. Until I can get some R-comps to run on, these will be my DD rims, then I will put the stockers back on and mount the r-comps on these....so I am willing to compromise a hair on looks...in order to ensure I have a light set of rims.

When voting on the poll, please take into account that I would like the lightest rims possible, but looks are semi important as well. Thanks for your help! : )

Totally personal preference but, I like the RPF1's over the RPM2. They are strong and light. Lots of people here are driving on them everyday, like me! I don't know much about the Trackstars except they are black with a red lip, right? There is a black RPF1 now, one of the vendors in here had a group buy or something. I'm not sure if I personally would like the look of black rims on a silver car. Perhaps someone with some Photoshop skills could hlp out?

I don't know if this helps or not but good luck!

The trackstars are actually all black but have a 'time attack' pin stripe along the outer edge rather than a red lip. IMO, black rims in general look ok on red, black, silver, and white cars, also some blues.

TTT so I can get a little more input...thanks guys!!!!!!

Edit: It seems like it is coming down between the Rpf1's and the Trackstars at this point, not really considering the rpm2's much any more.

Believe me, if I were using cash for these wheels, that is exactly what I would get!!!!!

I am also debating two other rims.

Volk: http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/BigPic.jsp?wheelMake=Volk+Racing&wheelModel=RE30&wheelFinish=Titanium+Gunmetal&subType=

^--- Only 16.5 lbs per!

Motegi:

how about none of the above? if you want track worthy lightweight wheels, I'd go with these guys :D:

If I ever decide to build something track worthy, these will be my first choice, light as hell, bulletproof, a little pricey but worth it in my opinion ;)

I just ordered some Motegi SP10 wheels. For a 18" x 8" rim, they're pretty lightweight at 18.6 Lbs. and were only $169 ea. 1010tire had the best price for the folks up here in Canada.
