I am taking delivery of my 8 in the end of Nov and curious about some rewiring.

Has anyone found a way to rewire the DSC and TC so they are off automaticlay when you turn the car on, and then can switch them on when conditions are bad?

I think this would be a great Mod. I was unable to find a post that had something similar.

thanks,
bob

I think this would be a great Mod. I was unable to find a post that had something similar.I'm sure somebody with a little electronics know-how could design a small circuit that could be spliced in parallel with the dashboard DSC switch. With a 555 timer chip, a relay, and a couple of ancilliary components, it should be possible to come up with something that will automatically "press the button," say, 15 seconds after you turn on the ignition (to allow time for cranking, etc).

This would have the advantage of still allowing full manual override, and being very simply removable/reversible if/when you need to return the car to stock.
