It's been more than a month since I've checked out the site, and it looks like a lot of new members and a few new sections have been added to the forum. Everything looks great!!!

Anyway, I've recently been speculating more and more about buying another FD in place of the RX-8, or Vette. What I'm finding, though, is that all the lenders I've spoken with will not lend money for a car that is more than 6 years old. This puts the FD out of reach.

Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know of a bank or lender that will loan on an FD. I don't want to pay for the car in full, because I will want to use my immediate liquiet assets to do some reliability upgrades and explore the possibility of dropping a Renesis in the car. And I don't want to do an asset-based loan because the interest rates for those are insane.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

PeopleFirst.com will help you out. They give excellent rates AND customer service from what I hear.

Though I say this much, to get a crated Renesis will be a good while away, so don't expect to get one easily. Not to mention if you want to add turbos to that, then it gets to be MORE difficult, because even Mazda has hinted at it being difficult to do from magazine interviews/previews of the RX-8.

Personally I'd just wait and get the RX-8, because it's got the new engine and tranny, good looking, 4 seats if you need them and will probably be lighter on insurance than the FD. The FD is also harder to control (as per articles and Mazda) and thus you should have a blast in the 8.

But in the end the choice is yours.

The Vette while a really nice car (and one of the few American cars I like) seems a bit bloated for me, not to mention insurance is OUTRAGEOUS.
