Riken 05-11-2008, 04:21 PM Cant search, where is DIY for water in tailights?? expo1 05-11-2008, 04:53 PM There isn't one. 1, Go to dealer if your still in warranty 2, Buy a used one, install it yourself (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=114910) 3, drill small holes for the water to exit. Riken 05-14-2008, 08:00 AM LOL ok so I drilled 2 holes on each taillight and done, no more water and stupid condensation. red_rx8_red_int 09-23-2008, 12:01 PM LOL ok so I drilled 2 holes on each taillight and done, no more water and stupid condensation. Third taillight with water, first both sides under warranty, now the drivers side, I did this threads diy (drill holes). No more water! DarkBrew 09-23-2008, 12:29 PM All you need is the new gaskets. Socket7 09-23-2008, 01:02 PM Bullshit there's no DIY http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=114910&highlight=tail+light+gasket Might want to fix it properly rather then drilling holes in your tail lights... To be named later 09-23-2008, 08:02 PM I could swear there was a DIY.....I distinctly remember someone posting a homemade remedy involving some store bought material they hand cut into the shape of the OEM gasket. Mazurfer 09-23-2008, 08:07 PM Ummmm..........I think that "more cowbell" has gotten to you TBNL. Look at the post above yours...........a couple of hours earlier. :uhh: lepichichi 09-26-2008, 03:16 PM mines were replaced under warranty :) Riken 10-07-2008, 06:49 PM holes FTW Jedi54 10-07-2008, 06:54 PM best I could do on short notice: http://www.finishlineperformance.com/pdf/rx8/bulletin/09-014-07-1795.pdf RebelYJ 10-08-2008, 01:00 AM I'm waiting for my lights to get into the dealership. Still under warranty!!! :) Riken 10-08-2008, 11:00 AM yeah weird that after they replace the taillights even bigger gaskets it still happens to some people. bukets1 10-10-2008, 01:06 AM i believe mazda had a recall on tail light covers. just bring it in and thay should replace fpr free. train460 12-31-2008, 11:52 PM i believe mazda had a recall on tail light covers. just bring it in and thay should replace fpr free. i was at mazda about a month ago and asked about this. they said there was no recall. RebelYJ 01-01-2009, 04:22 PM ^ Correct. There was no recall. Just a TSB, as Jedi posted already. So if you're under warranty you're fine and they'll fix it for free. If not then you can pay to have it fixed. |
