The last $16.07 of my $500 was spent Nov 13th. It took less than 3 weeks to go through it all.

You can check your balance online after you register at

www.encompass-select.com

Make sure you spend it all before it expires.

Gave Mazda a call, the phone person mentioned a delay on the AMEX cards, etc. He looked me up in the system and could tell my credit card has not yet been sent out, but otherwise I am listed as getting free maintenance service. I will give them another call in a couple weeks. I've since been in for the 5000 mile service and there was no issue getting the work done for free, no need for the actual "warranty card".

I got my card, the Amex one, but I haven't gotten anything for the service part. Are we supposed to get a card for that?
or like brothervoodoo sez, just bring it in? I was wondering because I want to use a different dealer.

You should have received a letter from Mazda that mentions something about the free service cards being mailed later and that the letter should be all you need to get the free service.

If you don't have the letter, you should call the dealer (or their service dept) - let them know your situation and ask if they'll give you the free service in lieu of the letter or card.

Also, Mazda has entered most of the qualifying VIN numbers into their system by now and the service dept should be able to tell if your RX8 qualifies for the free service. Ask them to check.

FYI: the free service schedule (every 5k vs 7.5k) is up to you - not the dealer. I'm opting for every 5k.

Like BrotherVoodoo I got my 5000 mile service done for free but have yet to receive the card so I must be in their system. I'll wait it out a couple more weeks.

No card, no letter, no nothing. My response was sent the last week of September.

Most of the cards and letters were sent in October. Responding to Mazda late in September will end up with a Nov or Dec mailing. You could try calling the phone number on the letter and ask which mailing yours would be in.

Funny, when I called, they told me there was no way to check my balance online.

Just registered and checked balance - $101.90. WooHoo!!!

So! Who are you going to believe - Mazda or me (ha, ha).

Actually, Mazda customer service does not have access to your Amex account online but as you learned from my first post, you can check your own account after you register with

www.encompass-select.com

which is Amex's web site.
