Looks good Mike. I'm thinking of ordering up the black ones with RX-8. Did you have to give Canzoomer your SS# to get the item shipped to you?

I prefer the piano black myself. Have to hold-off on discretionary spending though, $140 is above my budget these days.

nice pillars...

WTF would anyone need your SS# to process a order sounds very fishy to me.

I would want to see a privacy policy in writing.

mikeb

My question came to late...sorry.:D

They look great!! A new thing to add to my X-mas list.. I suggest not giving your SS# to anyone.. Most agencies are now going away from that. My Health insurance company, and even The university of Florida are now having to comply with HIPPA new standards for privacy!

Thanks RX-Men-8. I thought it sounded kinda fishy. I asked Canzoomer about it and he says it has to do with the customs at the US border. I had him process my order WITHOUT my SS#, so we'll see how it pans out.

FYI, CanZoomer is in Canada. When he ships to a US address, US Customs requires a US recipient's SSN or tax ID.

Also FYI, CanZoomer's real job is owning an managing a "Big Iron" computer server company: www.harddata.com. He's just doing the RX-8 stuff on the side, because there's such a demand for parts and products. He's as legit as they come.

That's a great way for terrorists to get hold of American ID's they can use! Especially those Canadian terrorists who want to return the USA to England and bring King George back to make us do stupid things and have all our friends laugh at us!

Oh - too late, we did it ourselves!
Nevermind, canzoomer can have my SS#.
:D :D :D

OK... at the risk of sounding like a dumbass...how hard is it to install the B pillars? I got my RX-8 set from Maurice (thanks!) today and was wondering if there are any tricks to installing them?

The instructions are all in Japanese. Can anyone help?

just pull the back cover off and stick them on
you can wipe the pillar down first so their is no dirt
but thats it

post pics when done please

CAUTION!!!

Don't press hard with your fingers on the piano black b-pillar garnish, you'll leave dents in it. Use something flat.

Just be very careful to get them on straight the first time... They dont want to come off once they are stuck on. The instructions say to use a masking tape template. These really finish off the car! All I need to do now is get my Aero Kit so I can be like Mike-B

Are the B pillar add-ons thin enough that they don't stick out from the car? They look great from what I can see but am just concerned that they won't look like a stock piece but yet a after-thought stick on. Can any one get an angled picture on that for me in the daylight or just a rough estimation of it's looks? Thank you.

So how did the install go? Please post pics! I too have been considering the Piano Black for my Black RX-8. I "think" it would look so classy.

It's been WAY too cold here in NH to put these on. I was going to do them this spring when the weather gets a little warmer. Sorry...

No problem - it gives me something to look foward to in addition to the spring thaw! :)
