There is an awesome new photoshop of the 2005 rx-7 in the latest issue of autocar magazine. Unfortunatly i did not have any money on me when i went to barnes and noble, so if anyone wants to run out and scan it, please do so. The images is a mix of an rx-8, the mazda mx-sportif concept, and a g35 coupe. It is by far the best rendition I have seen to date and it looks like a sweet ass car too.

why the hell can't a single one of these concept artists get it through their thick heads that RX-7's look more like RX-7's than Nissans?? regardless, i'll be on the lookout.

I guess when the Miata concept looks like an Audi TT, they figure that the RX-7 will too.

Very cool. I would be pretty pleased if the 4th gen 7 looked like this. I would like to see a Mazda drawing though!!! Oh and you don't need handles when you have stickers. Just kidding, I only wish I could come up with something like that.

He made that for the Motor Trend Magazine design contest for interpretations on a car in 2020. We should only be so lucky. He didn't win but he got an honorable mention. The winners cars looked like crap.

wow, i never re-looked up that thread to see how it turned out... amazing :D

it does have a few silly points (like the wing and hood vent... meh... could do without 'em), with the 30" wheels the most obvious of them, but overall the car is magnificent to look at... for driving, the windows'd have to be bigger, and probably a little longer ;), but overall a real achievement.

this guy at least knows what a freakin' RX-7 looks like, eh?? :D

That Nismo Z w/ the "Z" rims would be cool if the "Z" symbol didn't move but rather doesn't move. Almost like spinners but not spinning. Just curious on trade-ins, are Mazda dealers gonna take RX8's as trade-in's for the RX7's? :)

I like the drawings, also noticed the tach redlines at 10K.

Looks more like 10,500 to me (I think I see dashed red between 10,000 & 10,500).

That's do-able though. My brother's new rotary race motor for '04 should take him to 11k.

Will there be a 2005 RX-7 ?

I have it on good authority that there will be a new RX-7, not sure if it will come out in 2005 or not though.

maybe if you stretched it out a little and took the wheel size down a notch.

put that guy to work for mazda. there is a whole lot of hours in that concept, especially for one person.
