I am a 16 year old boy doing his business A-level on the mazda RX-8.

I need your help for information on the RX-8.
will someone help me because i have to hand my work in tomowrow or my teacher will kill me.

I think, perhaps, you'd do better contacting a Mazda Corporate office. They will have all those answers for you, if they are willing to give them up.

These are my personal thoughts about the 8 ... not necessarily what your teacher is looking for:

Pricing: The RX-8 is targetted at undercutting all it's major competitors. The base model is £20,000, the high power £22,000.

Competition: Mainly Audi TT, Nissan 350Z and hot hatches. The Audi has incredible market image, but doesn't handle as well and can't fit four adults. The Nissan is a two-seater, but is more of a sports car (but rough with it). Mazda are aiming the 8 at the 30 to 40 somethings that have kids and can't justify a two-seater to the Mrs!?!?!

Mazda: Recently won reliablity survey for the 3rd year running. Mazda 6 has really upped it's image.

Availability/types of outlet: Dealer channel has suffered over the years, but Mazda 6 has helped. Availability: Approx 1500 cars will make it to the UK this year, but mainly pre-order customers. From December we should see deliveries improving, but will remain a rare site on the roads for the first half of 2004.

Promotion: RX-8 has been advertised in every car magazine I can think of this month. TV adverts have started as well focusing on the "Engine of the year" award, the fancy rear facing doors and the usual Mazda Zoom Zoom theme. Press has generally applauded the engineering uniqueness of the car and how it is re-defining the sports coupe (true four seater etc.)

I wouldn't bother - it's this kind of thing that the police are clamping down on. Stay away from emailing 16 year old boys FFS. How would you feel if your son was being emailed by a grown up stranger?

I don't think Rob has any intention of emailing him unless I've totally misread his humour.

Are you sure the police would really be interested if it was a 16 year old? Isnt the age of consent 16? Or is it a higher age if you approach from the rear (so to speak). Happily I am not an expert on such matters.

I'm sure the recently intruduced anti-groming laws dont cover markting information for a car. Just make sure it is marketing material, and not some of the more fruity reviews of the driving experiance, as those might well be misinterpreted as being of a sexual nature! ;)
