Went to my dealer today to look at brushed versus polished strakes (went for the brushed). Whilst there I asked if I could look at his status listing and got the following:
My car arrived at the Mazda compound in Rotterdam on 10/11
My car will be with dealer by 26/11 latest (my dealer believes they typically take 7 days, but have a service level agreement of 15 days from Rotterdam).
The car could be with my dealer as early as next week!!! :)
Given that I was one of the ones given the 5th December delivery date I thought this may be of interest. Anyone else been given similar info?
P.S. Graham at Milford ... thanks for all the help and putting up with my constant pestering

Do you know if it arrived in Rotterdam ahead of schedule? (I guess there was no schedule)

My date to dealer was 30th Nov two weeks ago, so looks like they have been conservative with us over the past month

I had a delivery date of 25th Nov two weeks ago....I am beginning to wonder whether I should contact my dealer...you never know. The problem I have is the following:
Current company car to change over at 80,000 miles (have only done 75,000). I thought new car would come in Feb/Mar so no problem with the 80k. I might get the car if lease company does not ask for mileage...However, if the do, then its going to be 1st Jan for me..!!
Ever Seen Ferris Buller's Day off? Try the same - only in forward gears.

Ferris Beuller 'borrows' his dads Ferrari (which he keeps on display in his garage) for the day. Ferris comes back to the carpark to find a few hundred extra miles (courtesey of the valet parking) on the clock. They take the car home and prop the back wheels up off the ground and stick it in reverse with something heavy on the accelerator , hoping to roll back the miles!
You could do the same thing but put your company car in a forward gear!

...its not Ferris' dads car, its Camerons.
...btw did you know the speedo does work when you go backwards in the '8?
it shows it as a positive number though, before you ask, and no, the miles don't come off that way either.
:)
