lol, I actually figured it out. No the wires are black and black with a stripe. The stripe was positive. The reason I was asking was because I couldnt get it to work either way. So I was narrowing down solutions. I actually just ripped up all the carpet and turns out I cut the wire on accident. thanks for the help. Its working now and my trunk lights up red once again

Post pics when you get a chance. Do you meet up with other RX8 owners in your area? My cousin saw a bunch of 8's in Elk Grove, and we meet up in Tracy all the time. I would like to see your trunk set up.

 

I just moved here!! I have no idea where to meet up. Ill go if someone gives me info on where to meet. I go to sac raceway all the time. Elk Grove isnt too far from me. Yea, Ill take pictures here in a second.

nighttime pic soon to come. I also added another neon in the opening from the trunk to the passenger area. This is definately the best free mod for an aftermarket stereo!!! Take that little piece between the rear seats off, youll be surprised how much more bass youll hear

okay guys, sorry it took a couple nights, but I finally got ahold of my girlfriends camera. I took pictures in a pitch black parking lot, I took some with the flash so you can figure out what the hell youre looking at and to also show the install. The pictures do it no justice. The neon between the rear seats looks very clean, some may think from the pictures its tacky but it actually goes nicely. IT is ungodly bright, my entire cabin glows red and you can see a light shade of red through my 5% tinted windows at night.
