I was wondering, if someone gave you the opportunity to pick three cars from the list and drive them on a competition course which would you pick? Would you rather have a manual or automatic transmission? Which cars under $30,000 did I forget?

You're supposed to pick 3 guys :p

I picked the EVO and the WRX because it would be interesting seeing what a big difference there is. Probably should have left the WRX out since I can do it already and picked the 8.... and my third choice was an SRT-4, we know it's fast in a straight line but how would it do on a track. I dount it would be the most fun but I would be so curious that I'd have to take it for a spin.

Personally, I'd pick as follows:

Yes:

- Mitsubishi. I already know what it's like as I've driven them plenty of times before, but it's a fantastic track car and brilliant fun, so I'd never pass up the opportunity.

-350Z. I'd want to see just what the "main competitor" to the RX8 can do on a track.

-RX8. Any chance to take one of these on a few flying laps is not to be passed up.

No:

-Dodge. Because I have about zero interest in the car, it's not available over here (in that form) and it's not exactly inspiring to me.

-Subaru. One of my best mates is a Subaru salesman. I've never been a fan to be honest, they're good cars but very over-hyped. I've driven them on plenty of occassions in the past and I just don't enjoy them as much as the Evo, so I may as well pick the Mitsubishi and leave out the Subaru given that they are otherwise relatively similar cars.

RX-8 , Any chance to drive an 8 on a course will do for meh.

350z, See what a heavier, poorly balanced torque monster from japan can do ;)

Evo, No intrest in the scooby, but an Evo could be an ok everyday car if its looks were toned down from pre-riced some.

You need to add the 2004 S2000 which is much closer to the RX8 than the rest of those cars IMO.

I think thx RX8 is in the middle between performance, luxury and convenience... none of the other cars would offer that :/

The SRT4 is not in Turismo 3.

Does that even begin to matter as GT3 is barely an adequate method of testing cars.

You should have added "McClaren F1" to the vote list :)

350z no question, its always been my first choice

a strong tie second would be the rx8 and g35c (the rx8s real competitor), ive always been a fan of RWD sportscars. The AWD is just another thing that will break on a car and i dont really need it where i live.

Did you mean a plain WRX or an STI? If it's the STI, no question, that'd be in there, but if you mean WRX, I don't know if I'd want to drive the Neon or the WRX. Though I didn't pick either of them in this case...

I think your poll is a little missleading due to the lack of selection...we all know which one will be ahead, like jebus crizzle. Maybe if you had a dodge viper or something, then we'd see wich one would pull ahead. (on the track and in the polls)

ya i would agree with greg, it is a bit misleading like in wat way, handling, performance, value, looks and other stuff, but i'd still choose the rx8.

y'see, my friend knows as well as i do the neon would suck horse b**lz, the 350z is for old geezers, and the subaru...well, stick to the dirt.

I wouldn't mind taking the Evo out for a spin

As much as I hate to say it, the Dodge is a fun car. I got to take a couple laps around Laguna Seca with a pro instructer and the car totally surprised me. Then again, after a few hard laps the cars stunk like crazy as the engines were pretty toasted.
