ok so i talked with MYSQL about this...trying to decide the best place to power my wideband...he was talking about two wires in the steering column and sent me a link to some pictures...they don't make much sense to me...would it be best to just power it off the fuse box...if so which fuse? any suggestions???

if you are speaking of an uninterrupted power supply--i have no idea on our cars--i have heard of some that have installed a motorcycle battery for the power. It is ridiculous. My innovate has been shipped back to them.

The best way is to use a pigtail fuse tap in the fuse box in the driver side kick panel. Clean and fully functional.

I've powered mine straight off the battery...using a relay triggered by the Ign circuit.

That way the power is on when the car is started...and the power is fed straight off the battery.

I got a mini 8 slot fuse block and wired that in for the gauges....mounted it under the dash by the drivers Right knee...lots of room there

Mine just uses a switched IGN wire, I ran the wire to the cigar fuse in the kick panel since I'm not using the cigarette lighter at all. Its not important to take the power feed directly from the battery since the wire gauge would indicate that its not drawing much power at all. But it is important to have a good ground, I would run that directly back to the battery. There are a lot of complated electronics there and you want a very clean ground source for the wideband to be accurate.

I needed both a constant and a switched power source for my LC-1 and AFR gauge.

I think with the innovate at least---the current break in starting the car makes the system "reboot" again---like you turned the car off.
How do you wire an ignition triggered relay? Hints? I am not an electrical guy although I am trying to learn.:)
It is also important that all wideband grounds(gauge included) go to the same general spot.

decided just to use the rear o2 sensor power supply for the wideband---maybe that will work ok?

^^ Wouldn't be my first choice....sensor power supplies need to be stable...adding circuits doesn't work well.

I have a midpipe and wasnt using the rear o2 sensor anyway---no point. All it does is make sure the cat is working--The rear oem one is a narrowband one you know. So far that power source is working well. It even keeps the gauge and lc 1 on for a few seconds after to turn the car off.
