From this a little video, the Z looks like powerful i thought before. The Z bat the GT-R, M3, Porsches and S2000. so i think the 8 is in rish. i think the real battle is between the Z and Next generation RX-7.

But in the meantime, I thought I would make fun of your spelling :p Thanks for the link! pmacwill 12-23-2002, 10:41 PM I watched it now, I don't think it specifically said the Z 'beat' any of those cars. Hercules 12-24-2002, 12:39 AM Originally posted by pmacwill I watched it now, I don't think it specifically said the Z 'beat' any of those cars. Ditto. It wasn't even really about the Z... it opened with some info about it, then went into a track competition where it didn't show who was leading, times, or winners. xkpbreaker 12-24-2002, 10:01 PM Z doesn't look like a car that could drift turns.... But the 8 looks like a drifting machine! unemployedpimp 12-24-2002, 10:36 PM Originally posted by Brian_RX http://www.bestmotoringvideo.com/buy_06.html Sorry:D i like your spelling skillz! no! but atleast we could understand what you are writting:) Hercules 12-24-2002, 10:44 PM Originally posted by xkpbreaker Z doesn't look like a car that could drift turns.... But the 8 looks like a drifting machine! You can drift anything if you know the liftoff oversteer method :) BryanH 12-25-2002, 03:48 AM It appears the Z has too much understeer to drift easily in stock form. Even Keiichi Tsuchiya wasn't feeling quite at home in it, from what I could see in that short clip. I can't wait to see Best Motoring wring out an RX-8. :) Or Top Gear, for that matter. Pork Chop 12-25-2002, 05:48 PM I wouldn't read too deeply into the results. The final finishing order was GT-R, 350Z, M3, S2K, and Boxster. It's a short (5 laps I think?) race with the start order based on lowest power to weight ratio (so the starting grid was Boxster, S2K, 350Z, M3, GT-R). In terms of individual best lap times, the GT-R was quickest, followed by the M3, S2K, and 350Z (the 3 being very close together in times), with the Boxster a bit further back. It's a pretty entertaining DVD and I'm amazed that those guys are going pretty hard on the track, considering they don't own the cars! Surely they have to have some "incidents" during these tests? :) |
