Just been browsing on the Autotrader website, apart from a couple of adds (which are importers) it seems that some owners are already selling their cars - anybody off this forum?

I htink some people are trying to sell their place in the queue effectivly. I dont think mazda allow that either.

Some are selling the car as soon as they get it - trying to make a buck. This always happens. Sadly people are desperate, or stupid enough to pay the premiums, which is just more money down the drain when supply catches up with demand.

3 in the Telegraph web site at £25,000.

Good money if it works. Pay £1000 to reserve car, advertise, get an order, pass money through to Mazda, keep £3K (less costs) if all goes well.

I am one of them - advertised my car in Autotrader at cost price and said that if anyone wants to offer more I will donate the difference to Save the Children. Reason for selling is that my circumstances have changed since I ordered (10 months ago!) - I'm only driving about 10 miles per week in central London and I'm also thinking about leaving my job to set up a new business. It was a tough decision though - I do love the car.

I opted not to cancel my order because I bought a registration plate too and it was just as easy to sell the car as to cancel the order (at possible loss of £100) and then sell the plate. And raise a bit of money for a good cause in the process.

I've had about 4-5 serious enquiries but haven't exactly been swamped. I may be wrong but I doubt that people asking £2-3k above list will find many takers. There are obviously some disadvantages - no direct relationship with original dealer and an extra owner on the V5. Some dealers are talking about getting hold of additional cars in during January.

Simon that's a great gesture man.

Hope you have no problem selling.

Best wishes.

I think some around here don't see that as a disadvantage. :D
