Okay i have a 2004 6 speed rx-8 with 28000 miles on it.

I just got it back from the dealer yesterday they replaced the main wire harness in the center console everything inside works great BUT At idle with clutch in and tranny in any gear my engine will rev itself from 1000 to 1500 and back constantly but when i take it out of gear and leave clutch in it stays at 1000 and when the clutch is out its around 750-800 also starting out in first gear is extremely hard have to rev to 2500-3000 or it feels like it is going to die but it still jerks.

Weird thing is i had it for a few days before dealer had it and it never had a single problem.

I have consulted a few friends that are mechanics and they said it could be a few different sensors which sound plausible since the dealer did wiring work. I really dont want to take it to the dealer which is 3 hours away and they left the interior a huge mess.

has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Well the rpm only alters if the clutch is in and in gear idling. If i leave the clutch in and put it in nuetral it idles perfect. I took it to the dealer and after 2 weeks they say they fixed it but it still does it and now it jerks way bad when i start going.

any ideas?

Is there anyway that i can verify that it is the clutch switch like personally i am pretty good with cars.

Is there a TSB on it if so could you send me the link so i can prove to my "idiotic" dealer that there is a problem.
