Ahhhh.... the suspense is building. I love anticipation.

You know, the first few years of the caravan we used to have caravan support (i.e., parts and service) provided by Jeff Haas Mazda in Texas.

I think this year we should approach Chevron or Exxon Mobil to see if they could sponsor us by having an 18 wheel tanker truck in the caravan ;) or possibly gas cards for everyone in the group?

Only thing to keep in mind this year is that several rumors have been flying around that DPS has been pulling much of their highway patrols and going to patrols using planes and timing cars. This is set to happen on both the I-10 and also Hwy 89a by Whitespar.

While this was not an issue with the group headed to Irvine, the group that was with AZ Mazda headed back to Phoenix might not see the kind of "brisk" trip we enjoyed.

Yeah, but its not walking distance from the show.
I actually took a break in the middle of the day last year to jump in the pool and change clothes.
Its just a 5 minute walk across the lawn.

At least you are only a mile away. The other hotels are up by the airport.

Trust me, My Rig is going to blow you guys away, it maybe a ford but it will be gladly accepted in the rotary community

I'll be in lubbock texas when this rolls around. a bit far out to catch up with the texas guys. If i leave a day early, on the 25th i think i could catch up to you guys, and make the rest of the trip. :)

Anyone know who's leading up the LasVegas I-15 Caravan? Would Phil know? Can someone contact him to get an approximate time as to when they're planning to arrive on Friday afternoon. If the timing on this could work out it would be really cool to have a large group cruising down the freeway together and arriving enmasse.

Being first in line or 4th didn't make a differance on a good show spot.. maybe that has changed this year.
I think the Rx-2 group had the best spots last year. They had some very nice rides to put in those spots as well.

We had a blast as well with you guys. I take it that you and the boys made it back to Texas safe and sound WITH the Cosmo on the trailer (or in tow). Did you guys blow up the Gen 2 convert on Sunday at Tripoint? Truly amazing that the beast still runs. Fill us in with all the gory details, and again, hope to see you, Keith and the other guys again next year!!!

Made it back fine, with the FD driving the entire trip back, Cosmo is running on its own power now, and I cant figure out how we didnt blow the FC up, We even unplugged the wastegate and at 21psi it knocked REALLY LOUD, but the rotary aviation seal held up to the abuse.
