The one that goes inside of the where the rear chrome accent is and lights up when you hit your brakes.

I have checked everywhere, if anywhere knows where I can get one that would be great. It looks like www.rx8strakes.com used to carry them but they discontinued them too.

Any information would be great.

There are different ones. If you wire it so that it lights up when you hit your brakes, then its not a fog light.
I wired mine to the parking parks. That way its a rear fog light.
I did my homework and found one member that had bought them but had not installed them in 2/3 years. He bought the rear fog light and the puddle lights from Dewankel

Took me a long time to install cause I wanted it to look good. I had to shave here and there, retry, remeasure and shave again till I got it just the way I wanted it to be.

I can not use the rear accent cause there is no room.
I bought the front/rear accents and installed the front.
I guess I will have to sell the rear accent

The rear light comes in different flavors , ie
1. Dewankels..has one light..in the middle
2. rotary..the one u posted, has 4 lights, one in the middle for brake light
3 on the "seals" for parking lights.
3. There are others
Search the DIY for other info.

I wish the rear accent was like the front accent, ie go on the outside of the accent instead of going on the inside of the accent.
Oh that link you posted.... on a different post..they said they will carry the rear fog light again but not sure when.

 

I advise against using it for a brake light, you don't want the driver behind you looking down instead of ahead at traffic.

I wired mine to the parking lights as well.

Hmm, you're right, I never changed my signature.

I had it on my first Rx-8 but I cannot find one to put on my 2nd one. The vendor I bought the 1st one from has stopped selling them.
